SITI to Celebrate Robert Wilson With Revival Of Bob

SITI Company will celebrate the 70th birthday year of Robert Wilson with the revival of the Obie Award-winning one man show, Bob, set to run at New York Live Arts January 19-29, 2012. The play is conceived and directed by Anne Bogart and performed by Will Bond.

Bob had its New York premiere in 1998 at New York Theatre Workshop before touring the world to much acclaim for four years. The play is based on hundreds of interviews that Bogart collected and recorded over several decades. Bob unfolds as a series of dramatic compositions from Wilson’s past. It also captures the vital moment when American pop culture and high culture collided, and Wilson’s avant-garde un-credited influence on mainstream culture.
