Sinead Cusack, Ciaran Hinds, Marie Mullen, et al. Set for Dublin Theatre Festival logo

Sinead Cusack and Ciaran Hinds will headline a new production of Sean O'Casey's Juno and the Paycock as part of the Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival in Dublin, Ireland, September 29-October 16. The production, which is a collaboration of The Abbey Theatre and The National Theatre of Great Britain, will be directed by Howard Davies.

Among the other highlights of the festival, which will feature 28 shows, are Colm Toibin's Testament, starring Marie Mullen and directed by Tony Award winner Garry Hynes; Kneehigh's new show, The Wild Bride, to be directed by Emma Rice; and Ivo van Hove contemporary production of La Voix Humaine.

Additional offerings at the festival include Rough Magic's fantastical new version of Henrik Ibsen's epic Peer Gynt, to be directed by Lynne Parker; Marina Carr's 16 Possible Glimpses, about the life of Anton Chekhov, to be directed by Wayne Jordan, The Speckled People, to be directed by Patrick Mason and featuring Stephen Brennan, Denis Conway and John Kavanagh; Brokentalkers' new multimedia work The Blue Boy, which is based on stories of childhood abuse in Ireland; and Donka, A letter to Chekhov, directed by Cirque du Soleil veteran Daniele Finzi Pasca.
