The Signature Theatre Company production of Horton Foote’s three-part The Orphans’ Home Cycle has announced a new playing schedule. Michael Wilson directs the production, which was previously seen at Hartford Stage.

Part I: The Story of a Childhood is currently on view; Part II, The Story of Marriage will begin performances on December 3, with an official opening on December 17; and Part III: The Story of a Family will begin performances on January 7, with an official opening on January 26. The production will run until March 28.

Set in the playwright’s fictitious town of Harrison, Texas, the cycle, which consists of nine one-act plays, is based partly on the childhood of Foote’s father and the courtship and marriage of his parents. It begins with a father’s death in a small-Texas town at the turn of the century, a loss that sends his son, Horace Robedaux, on an odyssey through the darkest corners of the heart as he learns to become a husband, father, and patriarch.

The ensemble features Hallie Foote, Maggie Lacey, Bill Heck, James DeMarse, Devon Abner, Pat Bowie, Leon Addison Brown, Justin Fuller, Jasmine Harrison, Henry Hodges, Georgi James, Annalee Jefferies, Virginia Kull, Matt Mulhern, Gilbert Owour, Jenny Dare Paulin, Pamela Payton-Wright, Bryce Pinkham, Stephen Plunkett, Lucas Caleb Rooney, Dylan Riley Snyder, and Charles Turner.

The creative team includes Jeff Cowie and David Barber (set), David Woolard (costumes), Rui Rita (lighting), John Gromada (original music and sound), Peter Pucci (choreography), Ralph Zito (voice/dialect coach), and Mark Olson (fight director).
