Tony Award nominee Brian d’Arcy James was honored at Sardi’s on September 10 with his own caricature, which has been added to the walls of the famed theater district restaurant. The actor is currently starring in the title role in the Broadway production of Shrek The Musical at the Broadway Theatre, and will be part of the Broadway cast of Time Stands Still at Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre beginning in January.

Among those who attended the ceremony were several of his Shrek castmates, including Christopher Sieber, who plays Lord Farquaad. Other attendees included his wife and daughter, as well as his brother.

D’Arcy James has also starred on Broadway in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Sweet Smell of Success, and Titanic; his Off-Broadway credits include Port Authority, Next to Normal, The Good Thief, and The Wild Party.
