Sheldon Harnick Musical Revue A World to Win Announces Cast at York Theatre Company

The Tony-winning lyricist is best known for his work on the classic musical ”Fiddler on the Roof”.

The York Theatre Company has announced complete casting for its season opener of the Winter 2014 Musicals in Mufti Series, A World to Win. Celebrating the career of Tony Award-winning lyricist Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof, The Apple Tree), the musical revue features lyrics and a book by Harnick and music by his longtime collaborator Jerry Bock as well as by David Baker, Larry Hochman, Michel Legrand, and Richard Rodgers, with a few songs by Harnick himself.

Robert Brink directs a cast of four that features Kerry Conte (The Irish…and How They Got That Way), Jason Graae (A Grand Night for Singing), Rhyn McLemore, and Aaron Serotsky (The Blue Flower). Jeff Saver will serve as music director.

Five performances of A World to Win will take place January 17-19 at the York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's. The Winter 2014 Musicals in Mufti Series will continue with Dragons (January 31-February 2), Malpractice Makes Perfect (February 14-16), Smiling, The Boy Fell Dead (February 21-23), and Tenderloin (March 7-9).
