Sebastian Arcelus to Give Away Gifts at Box Office Opening of Broadway’s Elf

Sebastian Arcelus, who will star as Buddy in the Broadway production of the new musical Elf, will be on hand for the show’s box office opening at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street), on Saturday, September 25 at 12:30pm.

Arcelus will have a special bag of gifts for those in attendance to reach in and grab. Among the top prizes are a walk-on role in the musical; two tickets for VIP Viewing for the 84th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade; a sneak preview of Macy’s Santaland at Macy’s Herald Square with Santa himself for a family of four; a NOOK eBook Reader from Barnes & Noble; family 4-packs to VIP Skating at The Pond at Bryant Park; and DVD copies of the New Line Cinema hit movie, Elf, upon which the musical is based.

Tony Award nominee Casey Nicholaw will direct and choreograph the new musical, which will open officially on November 14. The musical will feature songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin, with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin.

In addition to Arcelus, the cast of Elf will also feature Amy Spanger as Jovie, Mark Jacoby as Walter, Michael Mandell as Store Manager, Michael McCormick as Mr. Greenway, Valerie Wright as Deb, Matthew Gumley as Michael, Beth Leavel as Emily, and George Wendt as Santa.
