Sean Graney’s The Seven Sicknesses to Play the Flea Theater in January

The Flea Theater will present Sean Graney’s These Seven Sicknesses in January. Ed Iskander will direct the production, with casting and creative team to be announced in the near future.

The play combines Sophocles’ seven surviving plays–Oedipus, In Trachis, Philoktetes, In Colonus, Ajax, Elektra and Antigone — to examine the human condition, where the intermingling of chance & fate yields disquieting results.

In addition, the company has announced that the fourth installments in its late night episodic play competition, #serials@theflea, will run October 20 – November 5 and that the fifth installment will play December 1 – 17.
