Scott Adsit, Arthur French, Demond Green, et al. Set for Summer Shorts 4

Casting has been announced for Summer Shorts 4 to be presented by ThroughLine Artists at 59E59 Theaters, July 30 – September 2. The series will feature eight world premieres, which will be presented in two series, offered in rotating repertory.

Series A will include Deb Margolin’s The Expenses of Rain, directed by Laura Barnett and featuring Iyaba Ibo Mandingo and Jo Yang; Timothy Mason’s An Actor Prepares, directed by Maxwell Williams, with James Leighton and Mark Elliot Wilson; Roger Hedden’s Play with the Penguin, directed by Billy Hopkins, with Allison Daugherty, Josh Helman, and Alex Manette; and Neil LaBute’s Romance, directed by Dolores Rice, with Jeffery M. Binder and Demond Green.

Series B will feature Wendy Kesselman’s The Graduation of Grace, directed by Stephanie Berry, with Clara Hopkins Daniels; Alan Zweibel’s Happy, directed by Fred Berner, with Scott Adsit and Arthur French; Neil Koenigsberg’s Fit, directed by Merri Milwe, with José Joaquin Perez, Kate Cullen Roberts, and Liam Torres; and Christopher Stetson Boal’s Jonathan’s Blaze, directed By Alexander Dinelaris, with J.J. Kandel and P.J. Sosko.

The creative team will include Robert Gould (scenic design), Michael Bevins (costume design), and Greg MacPherson (lighting design).
