The Color Purple's Kyle Scatliffe and More Set for Broadway Rising Stars Concert

They will help the series celebrate its 10th anniversary.

In honor of the 10th anniversary of the Broadway Rising Stars concert series, previous Rising Stars who have since had careers on Broadway will take part in the latest show, set for July 11 at Town Hall. Scott Coulter will direct.

The evening will feature Kyle Scatliffe (The Color Purple), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Hamilton), Jon Hacker (Jersey Boys), Stephanie Torns (Waitress), Rebecca LaChance (Mack and Mabel), and Gyu Jin Lim (The King & I). Previously announced Anthony Ramos (Hamilton) will not be able to attend.

They will join this year’s group of Broadway Rising Stars, which are chosen by a panel of judges and represent the next generation of up-and-coming talent. The list includes Megan Lione (Wagner), Joseph O'Malley (Wagner), Jeanine Bruen (Wagner), Chelsea Lee Wheatley (Circle in the Square), Clare Regula (Circle in the Square), John Battagliese (CCM), Emma Camp (Tisch), Joshua Israel (Tisch), Alex Getlin (Northwestern), Rachel Dickson (AMDA), Pedro Coppeti (AMDA), Caleb Adams (AMDA), Hayley Lampart (Marymount), Ashton Corey (Marymount), Sarah Treanor (Steinhardt), Ross Brown (Steinhardt), Mary Claire Miskell (Pace), Law Dunford (Wright State), and Ben Naftaly (Lipper Musical Theatre Academy, Tel Aviv).
