The Kitchen has announced its winter 2010 lineup of programming.

Tony Award winner Stew will write original music for David Neumann’s autobiographical Big Eater (March 4-13). The company for the multidisciplinary piece will feature Natalie Agee, Andrew Dinwiddie, Kennis Hawkins, Neal Medlyn, Weena Pauly, and Will Rawls.

Jay Scheib’s Bellona, Destroyer of Cities, to run April 1-10, is based on Samuel R. Delany’s landmark science fiction novel Dhalgren. The work combines passages from the novel with original material, movement sequences, and live video to trace several intertwining plotlines driven by a group of characters with shifting identities. The company will feature Sarita Choudhury, Caleb Hammond, Mikéah Ernest Jennings, Jon Morris, William Nadylam, Tanya Selvaratnam, April Sweeney, Natalie Thomas, and Greg Zuccolo.

There will also be pair of performances from Bessie Award winner Hahn Rowe (January 22-23), a dramatic reading by Lili Taylor of How To Win Reno (February 2), and a new dance piece from Alex Escalante (February 18-20).
