Ryan O’Connor to Compete on Your OWN Show: Oprah’s Search for the Next TV Star

Entertainer Ryan O’Connor, who recently concluded a national tour of his show Ryan O’Connor Eats His Feelings, will be among the 10 contestants competing on Oprah Winfrey’s new show Your OWN Show: Oprah’s Search for the Next TV Star, to begin airing on OWN on January 7, according to The Associated Press.

Nancy O’Dell and Carson Kressley will host the show, in which the winner will receive their own show on Winfrey’s new channel. The finalists were chosen from more than 9,500 online audition videos and thousands more hopefuls at open casting calls. More than 143 million votes were submitted online, according to OWN.

The winner will be selected on the show by a panel of judges, including Dr. Phil McGraw and Gayle King, who will subject them to a range of TV-host-related challenges.

The other contestants include Zach Anner, Elizabeth Espinosa, Aunt Flora, Leigh Koechner, Kristina Kuzmic-Crocco, Tony Roach, Terey Summers, Alicia Taylor, and Eric Warren.
