Rocco Landesman Confirmed as Head of the National Endowment of the Arts

Rocco Landesman, one of Broadway’s most successful producers and the owner of the Jujamcyn Organization, has been confirmed as the new chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, according to published reports. It is expected that he will be sworn in sometime within the next few days.

Landesman has a doctoral degree from the Yale School of Drama, where he spent four years as an assistant professor. He has produced numerous shows, including Angels in America, Big River, Jelly’s Last Jam, and The Producers.

Jujamcyn currently owns five Broadway houses: The St. James, The Al Hirschfeld, The August Wilson, The Eugene O’Neill, and The Walter Kerr.
