All the Way premiered in July 2012 as part of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's American Revolutions commission program, and will next be seen opening the American Repertory Theatre's upcoming season. Playwright Schenkkan won the 1991 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for his landmark work of nine one-act plays, The Kentucky Cycle.
Meanwhile, Jen Silverman's Still has been selected as winner of the 2013 Yale Drama Series. She will be awarded the David Charles Horn Prize, an award of $10,000, and a staged reading of the play at the Claire Tow Theater of Lincoln Center, as well as a publication of Still by Yale University Press.
Still follows 41-year-old Morgan, whose child has been born dead, and eighteen-year-old Dolores, who is pregnant with a child she doesn't want, as they confront their fears and desires. All the while, dead baby Constantinople roams the world, searching for meaning.
Silverman's play was chosen by Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha from nearly 1,100 entries. Runners-up included Adam Szymkowicz's Mercy, Jennifer Blackmer's The Human Terrain, and Catherine Treischmann's The Most Deserving.
