Robert DeNiro, Susan Sarandon, Christian Slater, Meryl Streep Set for Tribeca Film Festival Events

Numerous stage veterans will be participating in live conversations and other special events as part of the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival. The festival will be held in various New York City venues, April 18-29.

Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep will join writer-director-producer Judd Apatow for 100 Years of Universal, a conversation celebrating 100 years of Universal Pictures at the BMCC, on Thursday, April 19 at 3pm.

As part of the “Tribeca Talks: Directors Series,” Susan Sarandon will interview filmmaker and activist Michael Moore at the BMCC on Sunday, April 22 at 3pm.

Among the actors participating in post-screening discussions will be Ally Sheedy (WarGames); Christian Slater, Crispin Glover, Michael Jai White, and Andy Dick (Freaky Deaky); Lili Taylor (Future Weather); Deborah Voigt and Jay Hunter Morris (Wagner’s Dream); Eve Ensler (Let Fury Have the Hour); and Rob Lowe (Knife Fight).

In addition, legendary performance artist Carolee Schneemann will be part of a panel discussion following the screening of a collection of American avant-garde classics, to be held at the SVA Theater 2 on Saturday, April 21 at 5:30pm.
