Ricky Martin, who is currently playing the role of Che in the Broadway revival of Evita, is making a change to his performance schedule in the musical, which plays at the Marquis Theatre.

Beginning Monday, September 3, Martin’s new schedule will be Tuesdays at 7pm, Wednesdays at 2pm and 8pm, Thursdays at 8pm, Fridays at 8pm, and Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm. He will not be performing on Monday nights, when his role will be alternated by Max von Essen and Daniel Torres.

The change is part of a slight restructuring of Martin’s appearance agreement with producers and will not change his overall number of performances in the musical.

Evita is Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s telling of the passionate and tragic story of one-time Argentinean First Lady Eva Perón.

Elena Roger also stars as Eva Perón with Michael Cerveris as Juan Perón, Christina DeCicco as the alternate for Eva (Wed eve; Sat mat), von Essen as Magaldi and Rachel Potter as the Mistress.
