Ricky Ian Gordon, Parsons Dance, and More Set for Bryant Park Fall Festival

The Bryant Park Fall Festival, to run September 13-20, will offer eight free-of-charge after-work performances featuring artists from NYC’s premiere classical music, jazz, dance, and opera institutions, as well as lunchtime discussions.

The New York City Ballet will perform Christopher Wheeldon’s After the Rain pas de deux and Peter Martins’ A Fool for You, featuring the music of Ray Charles (September 13). Next will be the Five Boroughs Music Festival featuring musical theater composer Ricky Ian Gordon (September 14). The Metropolitan Opera will be represented by artists Joyce El-Khoury (soprano), Alexander Lewis (tenor) and Elliot Madore (baritone) accompanied by Vlad Iftinka (September 15).

Jazz at Lincoln Center’s presentation will feature Jazz quartet Paul Beaudry & Pathways, and gospel ensemble Oscar Williams Jr. and Perfected Praise (September 16). The Brooklyn Academy of Music will present the Black Rock Coalition and its Orchestra (September 17). Musicians from Brooklyn Philharmonic will perform (September 18). Parsons Dance will present Remember Me, its rock dance opera collaboration with members of the East Village Opera Company, as well as its stroboscopic master work, Caught (September 19). The series will conclude with Orchestra of Luke’s presenting selections from works from Scarlatti, Arensky, and Schumann (September 20).
