The Broadway production of The 39 Steps, currently at the Helen Hayes Theatre, will hold a six-week series of post-show discussions with cast members, comedians, and prominent Hitchcock aficionados, following the Tuesday evening performances.

The series — entitled Hitchcock Meets Hilarious — will launch on June 9, with screenwriter and film producer Richard Chapman. Future guests will include comedians Frank DeCaro and Christian Finnegan. The talkbacks are free to anyone attending the Tuesday evening performances.

Directed by Maria Aitken, the play is a comedic take on Hitchcock’s 1935 classic thriller of the same name about a man who is forced by a mysterious woman’s death into a cross-country race for his life. The play is adapted by Patrick Barlow, based on an original concept by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon and on the book by John Buchan. The play won the 2007 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, as well as two Tony Awards, and two Drama Desk Awards.

The cast currently stars Arnie Burton (Man #2), Jeffrey Kuhn (Man #1) and Sean Mahon (Richard Hannay), and Jill Paice (Annabella Schmidt/Pamela/Margaret).
