Rare Theater Memorabilia Up for Grabs on LIFEBAT eBAY Auction

Bid 2 Beat AIDS, a special eBAY auction featuring almost 1,000 rare and autographed items from stars in theater, film, televison, and music, will begin on December 1 and run through December 11. All proceeds from the auction will benefit LIFEbeat, the Music Industry Fights AIDS.

The auction will commence on 3pm on December 1 — World AIDS Day — with a special “one-day-only” item: a pair of tickets to the New York premiere of the film The Producers and party on December 4. Other items up for grabs during the 10-day auction period include a CD of Wicked signed by the original cast (pictured right), a Spamalot tote bag signed by its cast, two Avenue Q collector packages (one from Broadway and one from Las Vegas), a wine glass hand-painted by the legendary Chita Rivera, and numerous items autographed by both the Broadway and film casts of Rent.

Also available for bidding will be signed items from celebrities including Patti LuPone, Liza Minnelli, Harvey Fierstein, Brooke Shields, Darlene Love, Bea Arthur, Rue McLanahan, Parker Posey, Huey Lewis, Joan Rivers, Billy Crudup, James Earl Jones, and John Cameron Mitchell, as well as the casts of Doubt, Chicago, and many other Broadway and Off-Broadway shows.
