PTP/NYC, formerly known as The Potomac Theatre Project, will present the U.S. premiere of Howard Barker’s The Europeans and a revival of Neal Bell’s Therese Raquin at The Atlantic Stage 2. The works will be performed in repertory, June 30-July 26.

Richard Romagnoli will direct The Europeans, which takes place in war-ravaged Vienna after the Turkish invasion of the late 1600’s, during which Christianity and Islam brutally collided. The cast will include Megan Byrne, Antoinette LaVecchia, Valerie Leonard, Robert Emmet Lunney, Aidan Sullivan, Bill Army, Veracity Butcher, Xian Chiang-Waren, Samantha Collier, Judith Dry, Lauren Fondren, Rishabh Kashyap, Emily Kron, Brent Langdon, Jimmy Wong, and Robert Zukerman.

Jim Petosa will helm Therese Raquin, adapted from Emile Zola’s 1867 novel about a young half-French, half-Algerian woman who embarks on an affair that leads to brutal and tragic consequences. The cast will feature Helen Jean Arthur, Scott Janes, Lily Balsen, Michael Kessler, Willie Orbison, Peter Schmitz, Stephanie Spencer, and Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki.
