Glee's Kevin McHale, Laura Benanti, and More to Perform Short Plays Benefit

Casting has been announced for Proud of Us and Other Short Plays by Wesley Taylor, coming to New World Stages for one night only on Monday, November 14, at 7:30pm. Proceeds from the performance will benefit the Actors Fund.

The cast for Proud of Us… will include Tony winner Laura Benanti (She Loves Me), two-time Tony winner Christian Borle (Something Rotten!), Tony winner Denis O’Hare (True Blood), Sylar Astin (Pitch Perfect), three-time Tony nominee Carolee Carmello (Tuck Everlasting), Jack Griffo (The Thundermans), Noah Hinsdale (Finding Neverland), Kevin McHale (Glee), three-time Tony nominee Terrence Mann (Pippin), Maulik Pancholy (It's Only a Play), Tony nominee Bryce Pinkham (Holiday Inn), Nicolette Robinson (The Affair), Alexandra Socha (Fun Home), Tony nominee Will Swenson (Les Misérables), Raven Symoné (Sister Act), two-time Tony nominee Mary Testa (First Daughter Suite), two-time Drama Desk winner Michael Urie (Buyer & Cellar), and Samantha Ware (The Book of Mormon).

Wesley Taylor was in the original Broadway casts of Rock of Ages and The Addams Family. His television credits include Smash, The Good Wife, The Tomorrow People, Looking, One Life to Live, among others. He recently starred as the Emcee in Signature Theatre's production of Cabaret and is slated to play God in Denver Theatre Center's upcoming mounting of An Act of God. Taylor is also the cocreator, writer, and star of It Could Be Worse, which was acquired by Participant Media, Pivot TV, Vimeo on Demand, and Hulu.
