Primary Stages has added a special matinee performance on Sunday, September 4 at 3pm to its run of Charles Busch’s Olive and the Bitter Herbs at 59E59 Theaters.

Mark Brokaw has directed the production, which was originally set to close following the evening performance on September 3. The newly added show will help to accommodate ticket holders affected by the cancellation of performances due to Hurricane Irene this past weekend.

The comedy centers on an actress who finds herself coping with the ghost that she sees in her mirror as well as hosting an unconventional Passover Seder for her neighbors.

The five-member cast features Dan Butler as Trey, David Garrison as Robert, Julie Halston as Wendy, Marcia Jean Kurtz as Olive and Richard Masur as Sylvan. The creative team includes Anna Louizos (scenic design), Suzy Benzinger (costume design), M.L. Geiger (lighting design), and Lewis Flinn (original music).
