Clubbed Thumb has announced the plays that it will present as part of its Summerworks 2011 series, to run June 5-25 at HERE Arts Center.

This 16th annual festival of new works will begin with Tanya Saracho’s Enfrascada, to run June 5-11. Jerry Ruiz will direct the play, centering on a woman, who, after her world is turned upside down, mines the underworlds of Brujeria, Santeria, and Hoodoo searching for that thing that will put it all back, the way it used to be.

May Adreles will direct Kristin Newbom and W. David Hancock’s Our Lot (June 12-18), which looks at three siblings who are joined by an Iraq war vet friend as they clean their dead step-father’s things out from their crumbling childhood home. A third offering will be Jason Grote’s portrait of four grad school friends attempting to cope with the recession, Civilization (all you can eat) (June 19-25), to be directed by Seth Bockley and feature Tony Torn and Judith Hawking.

In addition, the company will host its annual opening celebration for the Summerworks series on June 1.
