MCC Theater has announced the three plays that will be part of its Spring 2010 PlayLab readings of new plays, to be offered at the Baruch Performing Arts Center.

The series will begin with Ashlin Halfnight’s A Hard Wall at High Speed (March 8). Directed by Josh Hecht, the play focuses on a flight instructor who finds himself unexpectedly at the center of a media frenzy. Evan Cabnet will direct Steven Levenson’s Girls Day (March 22), a piece inspired by the antics of pop divas in the news. The third PlayLab reading will be Alex Lewin’s See You Later (April 5), about two men, friends since college, on and the twists and turns that their relationship takes over twenty years. Casting, as well as a director for Lewin’s play, will be announced at a later date.

In addition to the performances, the PlayLab readings will feature post-performance receptions with the artists.
