PigPen Theatre Co. will head to Boston with its award-winning production of The Old Man and The Old Moon. Presented in partnership with ArtsEmerson: The World On Stage, performances will run from November 19-23 at the Emerson College/Paramount Center. The production recently ended its run at New York City's New Victory Theater.

In advance of the limited Boston run, which will be the last chance to see the piece performed by its original company, PigPen will play a one-night-only concert at New York's Gramercy Theatre this Sunday, October 19. The group has also scheduled a November 25 concert at the Sinclair in Cambridge.

The Old Man and The Old Moon premiered at New York City's Gym at Judson in fall 2012, and went on to receive a workshop at Williamstown Theatre Festival in the following summer. A fully staged reimagining of the show ran at Chicago's Writers Theatre in fall 2013.

The show tells the story of an old man who abandons his duty of filling the moon with liquid light to search for his missing wife. The seven members of PigPen Theatre Co. — Alex Falberg, Ben Ferguson, Curtis Gillen, Ryan Melia, Matt Nuernberger, Arya Shahi, and Dan Weschler — wrote, directed, produced, and starred in the production.
