Tony Award winner
Sutton Foster opened her cabaret show at the
Café Carlyle on Tuesday, June 15 for a two-week run. The show will also play at various venues throughout the country later this year.
Tony winner Donna Murphy, who starred with Foster in the City Center Encores! staging of Anyone Can Whistle, introduced the show. Other celebrity guests included Zach Braff, Charles Busch, Janet Carroll, Jason Moore, David Pittu, Mo Rocca, and Leslie Uggams.
Foster won a Tony Award for Thoroughly Modern Millie, and received Tony nominations for her starring roles in Little Women, The Drowsy Chaperone, and most recently, Shrek The Musical. She will co-star with Braff in Paul Weitz’s dark comedy, Trust, at Second Stage Theater, July 23-September 5.
