The cast of Ben Andron’s new comedy, White’s Lies met the press on March 24. The show will now begin previews at New World Stages on April 12 with a new opening date of May 6.

The play, to be directed by Bob Cline, stars Tuc Watkins, Betty Buckley, Peter Scolari, Christy Carlson Romano, Rena Strober, and Jimmy Ray Bennett. The work is about a successful lawyer and womanizing bachelor whose life changes when his mother drops a bombshell on him: she’s got cancer and her dying wish is to have a grandchild.

Watkins is best known for his TV roles of Bob Hunter on Desperate Housewives and David Vickers on One Life to Live. Buckley won the Tony Award for Cats and has appeared in such Broadway shows as 1776, Pippin, Carrie, Triumph of Love, and Sunset Boulevard. Scolari is best known for his work on the TV series Bosom Buddies and Newhart.
