PHOTO FLASH: Sutton Foster, Seth Rudetsky, Lucie Arnaz, Robert Klein, et al. at They’re Playing Our Song Benefit
On Monday, August 30, Sutton Foster and Seth Rudetsky starred in the one-night concert of They’re Playing Our Song at the Gerald W. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College. Denis Jones directed and choreographed the show, which benefited The Actors Fund.
Also in attendance were Lucie Arnaz and Robert Klein, who starred in the original 1979 Broadway production, as well as Foster’s Trust co-stars Zach Braff, Bobby Cannavale, and Ari Graynor.
The musical, which has a book by Neil Simon, music by Marvin Hamlisch, and lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager, focuses on an established wisecracking composer who ends up in a professional and personal relationship with an off-beat lyricist..
In addition to Foster and Rudetsky, the cast included Amber Efé, Kaitlyn Davidson, Alex Ellis, Tyler Maynard, Matt Loehr, and Jesse Nager.
