The cast of the Broadway production of Million Dollar Quartet — Eddie Clendening, Lance Guest, Levi Kreis, Robert Britton Lyons, Hunter Foster, and Elizabeth Stanley — met the press on Monday, March 1 at New 42nd Street Studios.

The show will play Broadway’s Nederlander Theatre, beginning March 13, with an opening night set for April 11. Eric Schaeffer will direct the production.

The show was inspired by the famed 1956 recording session that brought together four of the most legendary figures in the history of rock ‘n’ roll — Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley — along with Sam Phillips, founder of Sun Records.

The show includes numerous hits from these music legends, including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Who Do You Love?,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Riders in the Sky,” “I Walk the Line,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” and “Whole Lotta’ Shakin’ Goin’ On.”

The musical features a book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux, and was originally directed and conceived by Mutrux. The design team will include Derek McLane (scenic design), Howell Binkley (lighting design), Jane Greenwood (costume design), Kai Harada (sound design), and Chuck Mead (musical arrangements and supervision).
