On Halloween night, Chita Rivera hosted Career Transition for Dancers’ 26th Anniversary Jubilee, titled A Halloween Thriller: A “Spook-tacular” Dance Celebration of Ghosts, Ghouls, Vampires and Wilis. The event, presented by Rolex, featured a performance at New York City Center and a masquerade supper and auction at the Hilton New York.
Guests at the event included Broadway veterans Carmen De Lavallade, Mercedes Ellington, and Noah Racey; Judith Jamison, artistic director emeritus of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater; dancer/choreographer Mark Stuart; Ann Marie DeAngelo, former principal dancer with the Joffrey Ballet; and best-selling author Barbara Taylor Bradford with husband Robert Bradford.
