PHOTO FLASH: Kristen Johnston Attends Pipeline Theatre’s Psycho Beach Party

Emmy Award winner and Broadway veteran Kristen Johnston was among the celebrities at the April 10 performance of the Pipeline Theatre Company’s production of Charles Busch’s Psycho Beach Party, playing through April 17 at the Green Room at the Theaters at 45 Bleecker. The production is directed by Daniel Johnsen.
The play tells the story of Chicklet Forrest, a teenage tomboy, who desperately wants to be part of the surf scene on Malibu Beach in 1962. One thing getting in her way is her unfortunate tendency towards split personalities.
The cast features Jenny Donheiser, Laura Durst, John Early, Janna Emig, Meagan Kensil, Brian Maxsween, Brad Mielke, Alex Mills, Erik Olson, Eric Williams, and Shane Ziegler.
Johnston’s many theater credits include So Help Me God, The Women, Aunt Dan and Lemon, and Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words. She won the Emmy Award for her work on Third Rock on the Sun and had a recurring role earlier this season on ABC’s Ugly Betty.
