PHOTO FLASH: Jonathan Groff, Rutina Wesley, et al. at Submission First Rehearsal

On Monday, August 8, the cast and creative team of MCC Theater’s production of Jeff Talbott’s The Submission met with members of the press before their first rehearsal for the show.

The production, to be directed by Walter Bobbie, will run September 8-October 22 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

The play centers on what happens after a white male playwright submits a new drama to a theater festival under a pseudonym of an African-American woman.

The cast will feature Jonathan Groff, Will Rogers, Eddie Kaye Thomas, and Rutina Wesley.
