Five-time Tony Award winner Angela Lansbury and multiple Grammy Award-winning musician Herb Alpert were among the honorees at the National Arts Awards gala, presented by Americans for the Arts at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City on Monday, October 18.
Also honored were philanthropist Martha Rivers Ingram and designers Laura & Kate Mulleavy of Rodarte.
The awards were presented by musician Kim Gordon, journalist Bill Moyers, producer and director Harold Prince, and Nigel Redden, director of the Lincoln Center Festival. Emmy Award-winner and Broadway veteran Alec Baldwin read a Congressional Proclamation congratulating the organization on its 50th Anniversary.
Guests in attendance included Tony Award winner Katie Finneran and actresses Nancy Anderson and Victoria Rowell.
