PHOTO FLASH: Hair Cast, Rory O'Malley, et al. Announce July 25 Same-Sex Ceremony Event

On Wednesday, July 13, cast members from Broadway's Hair joined Broadway Impact co-founder Rory O'Malley, Jujamcyn Theater president Jordan Roth, and Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis for a press conference in front of the St. James Theatre to announce the show's new joint initiatives in the fight for national Marriage Equality.

In conjunction with the recent legislation passed in New York State, the Broadway production of Hair will host same-sex couple wedding ceremonies on-stage after the July 25 performance of the show.

Actors Joel Grey, currently in Anything Goes, and former Hair star Will Swenson, currently in Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the Musical, were among those who came to support the announcement.
