MCC Theater’s production of Carrie celebrated its opening night at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on Thursday, March 1, with a post-performance celebration at The Griffin Nightclub.
Marin Mazzie and Molly Ranson star in the revival, which also features Christy Altomare, Mackenzie Bell, Corey Boardman, Jake Boyd, Carmen Cusack, Blair Goldberg, F. Michael Haynie, Derek Klena, Andy Mientus, Elly Noble, Jen Sese, Ben Thompson, Anne Tolpegin, Jeanna de Waal, and Wayne Wilcox.
The production is directed by Stafford Arima and features a book by Lawrence D. Cohen and a score by Michael Gore and Dean Pitchford. The musical, which originally ran for 16 previews and 5 performances on Broadway, is based on Stephen King’s 1974 novel.
