New York City Center Encores! celebrated its production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Pipe Dream with a post-closing performance party in the mezzanine lobby of New York City Center on Sunday, April 1.
Will Chase and Laura Osnes led the cast of the musical comedy, based on John Steinbeck’s novels Cannery Row and Sweet Thursday. The principal company also featured Leslie Uggams, Stephen Wallem, Tom Wopat, James Clow, Philip Hernandez, James Moye and Steve Routman.
The ensemble included Matthew Bauman, Jack Doyle, Lora Lee Gayer, James Harkness, Jessica Hershberg, Emily Hsu, Cara Kjellman, Denis Lambert, Analisa Leaming, Jay Lusteck, Linda Mugleston, Shannon M. O’Bryan, Monica L. Patton, Richard Pruitt, Vincent Rodriguez III, Kelly Sheehan, Martin Sola, Charlie Sutton, Nicholas Ward, and Victor James Wisehart.
Guests at the performance included actor Christian Borle and Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization president Ted Chapin.
Marc Bruni directed the production, which featured choreography by Kelli Barclay, a book adaptation by David Ives, scenic consultation by John Lee Beatty, costume consultation by Toni-Leslie James, lighting design by Ken Billington, and sound design by Scott Lehrer. Musical director Rob Berman conducted the Encores! Orchestra.
