PHOTO FLASH: A View From the Bridge‘s Scarlett Johansson and Liev Schreiber Meet the Press

Tony Award-winner Liev Schreiber, Golden Globe Award nominee Scarlett Johansson, and the cast of the Broadway revival of Arthur Miller’s A View From the Bridge, which will play the Cort Theatre, met the press on December 9. The show, to be directed by Gregory Mosher, will begin a 14-week run beginning December 28 and opening January 24.

Schreiber will play Eddie Carbone, a Brooklyn longshoreman obsessed with his 17-year-old niece Catherine, played by Johansson. In addition, Michael Cristofer will play Alfieri, Santino Fontana will play Rodolfo, Jessica Hecht will play Beatrice Carbone, and Corey Stoll will play Marco.

The creative team will include John Lee Beatty (scenic design), Jane Greenwood (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), and Scott Lehrer (sound design).

Schreiber won his Tony for the 2005 revival of Glengarry Glen Ross, and received a Tony nomination for Talk Radio. He received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for RKO 281. Johansson made her professional acting debut at the age of eight in the Off-Broadway production of Sophistry. Her many film credits include A Love Song for Bobby Long, Match Point, Lost in Translation, He’s Just Not That Into You, and Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
