On Tuesday night, October 2, Forbidden Broadway: Rude Awakening, the 25th anniversary edition of Gerard Alessandrini’s satirical revue, opened at the 47th Street Theatre. On hand for this special night was Mary Poppins star Ashley Brown (left), who posed with cast member Valerie Fagan, who spoofs the supercilious nanny in the show…
…and Jersey Boys‘ star Daniel Reichard, another of the show’s targets, with the one-and-only Chita Rivera, who was the subject of one of Forbidden‘s funniest numbers of yesteryear.
Later that night, Kyra Sedgwick, who turns in a magnificent performance every week as Brenda Johnson on TNTs smash-hit series The Closer, reunited with old school chum Andrew Polk after a performance of the Off-Broadway musical, Walmartopia, in which he co-stars.
