Peter Bartlett Replaces Edward Hibbert in The Drowsy Chaperone

Peter Bartlett has replaced Edward Hibbert as Underling in The Drowsy Chaperone. Hibbert, who originated the role, has left the production to appear in the upcoming Broadway musical Curtains.

Bartlett’s Broadway credits include The Frogs, Never Gonna Dance, and Beauty and the Beast. His other New York stage credits include four works by Paul Rudnick: Jeffrey, Mr. Charles of Palm Beach, Rude Entertainment, and The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told. He is also known for his role as Nigel Bartholomew-Smythe on the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live.

The Drowsy Chaperone won five 2006 Tony Awards, including Best Book (Bob Martin and Don McKellar) and Best Score of a Musical (Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison), and seven Drama Desk Awards, including Best Musical. It is directed by Casey Nicholaw and also stars Bob Martin, Danny Burstein, Sutton Foster, Georgia Engel, and Beth Leavel.
