Peter and the Starcatcher to Celebrate “Talk Like a Pirate Day” With Instagram Video Contest

The long-running off-Broadway production of Peter and the Starcatcher has announced a special Instagram video contest to be held in celebration of the 11th Annual International Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19. The contest invites fans to do their best pirate impressions and explain why they want to see Peter and the Starcatcher.
Inspired by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s prequel to Peter Pan, Peter and the Starcatcher is a play-with-music, written by Tony nominee Rick Elice and codirected by Tony winner Roger Rees and Tony nominee Alex Timbers. It features Rick Holmes, Nicole Lowrance, Jason Ralph, Edward Baker-Duly, Matt D’Amico, Kevin Del Aguila, Jimmy Keiffer, Josh Grisetti, Alex Hernandez, Nate Miller, Andrew Mueller, Jon Patrick Walker, Jordan Geiger, Joanna Howard, José Restrepo, and Graham Stevens.
Fans will be able to submit Instagram videos over the next 10 days. In order to be collected, the videos must use both the hashtag #itlapd and tag the show’s official Instagram account, @starcatcherbway. Fans and friends can vote for their favorites by “liking” them on Instagram.
