Paul Sparks, Kate Walsh to Star in Stephen Belber’s Dusk Rings a Bell

Paul Sparks and Kate Walsh will star in Stephen Belber’s Dusk Rings a Bell, to run May 19 – June 20 at Atlantic Stage 2. Sam Gold will direct the production.

The play focuses on Molly and Ray, who unexpectedly meet 25 years after a one-afternoon adolescent fling. She has a successful media career; he owns a small landscaping business. Both begin to romanticize their chance reunion, but a renewed connection is disrupted when Ray discloses the details of a crime that left him incarcerated for ten years.

Sparks has been seen on Broadway in Hedda Gabler and Take Me Out. His Off-Broadway credits include Lady, Pumpgirl, American Sligo, and Blackbird. Among his upcoming projects are the new HBO series Boardwalk Empire as well as channel’s mini-series Mildred Pierce.

Walsh currently plays Dr. Addison Montgomery on ABC’s Private Practive. Among her other television and film credits are Grey’s Anatomy and Legion. Among her stage credits are regional productions of Happy Birthday, Wanda June, Troilus and Cressida, and Flesh and Blood.
