Patrick Page Serenades Broadway With Glen Berger’s Tell-All, Song of Spider-Man

”Spider-Man”’s original Green Goblin poetically looks back on a few mechanical catastrophes.

If you’ve ever been introduced to the sultry vocal stylings of Patrick Page (A Time to Kill), you know it would be worth the price of a Broadway ticket just to listen to him read the options off a Chinese takeout menu. Spider-Man, therefore, knew which of its former Green Goblins to call when planning its third-anniversary celebration.

In honor of this Broadway landmark, the high-flying production will be rolling out a series of videos featuring Page, the musical’s original green villain, as he reads excerpts from (and offers intellectual commentary on) Spider-Man book writer Glen Berger’s tell-all, Song of Spider-Man: The Inside Story of the Most Controversial Musical in Broadway History
. He may be reading about technical snafus and “dangling” spiders, but with a deep baritone like his, he might as well be reciting Shakespeare.
