Academy Award winner and stage veteran Olympia Dukakis will guest star in a performance of Verbatim Verboten, to be offered on Sunday October 10 at the WorkShop Theatre. Proceeds from the event will help support the theater’s ongoing work.

Created by Michael Martin and directed by host Jonathan Pereira, the show is a revue of staged transcripts from surveillance tapes, secretly recorded conversations and private correspondence, revealing unguarded moments in the lives of politicians, athletes and well-known performers.

The cast also includes Dan Patrick Brady, Cecily Benjamin, Kelly Ann Burns, Loren Dunn, Anne Fizzard, Richard Kent Green, Mike Smith Rivera, Amanda Sayle and Tracy Shar. On October 17 and 18, the show will feature, respectively, guest artists David Simpatico and Florencia Lozano, along with DJ Skillz.

Dukakis’ stage credits include Rose and Social Security. She will be seen next year in The Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore at the Roundabout Theatre’s Laura Pels Theatre. She won the Oscar for her work in Moonstruck.
