NYMF Honorary Chairman Ben Vereen to Host Ninth Annual Season Opening Night

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has named Tony Award winner Ben Vereen as honorary chairman of the Festival. The actor will also host the ninth annual season opening night on July 9.

Vereen earned a Tony Award for his performance in Pippin. Among his other Broadway credits are Wicked, Fosse, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair, Jelly’s Last Jam, Grind, and I’m Not Rappaport. His concert act, Steppin’ Out With Ben Vereen, will play 54 Below, July 10-21.

Admission to the NYMF opening night celebration is available only to NYMF Members, Patrons and Participants. Festival memberships are on sale now.
