Nora Ephron, James Earl Jones, Anna Deavere Smith, Stephen Sondheim and More Set for TimesTalks

Additional participants for the Fall 2010 TimesTalks programming has been announced. Events will be held at The TimesCenter, at 242 W. 41st Street.

Roy Blount Jr., Nora Ephron, Garrison Keillor, Ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV and Anna Deavere Smith will be featured in Op Ed at 40: Voices from the Times on Thursday, September 16. Op-Ed editor David Shipley will lead a discussion with these contributors whose voices have made the Times Op-Ed page so much a part of the national dialogue

As previously reported, stage and screen star James Earl Jones, who will be returning to Broadway in October in Driving Miss Daisy, will participate in a conversation about his work in theater and on film and TV on Monday, September 20. New York Times theater report Patrick Healy will facilitate the conversation.

TimesTalks will also offer Stephen Sondheim & Frank Rich: An Onstage Conversation on Monday, November 22. The event has been scheduled to coincide with the publication of Sondheim’s new book, Finishing the Hat: Volume One. In the discussion, Sondheim will talk with Times columnist Frank Rich about his work and life.

Additional participants for TimesTalks events will also include restaurateurs Donatella Arpaia, Heston Blumenthal, Ken Friedman and Danny Meyer; Food Network creator/producer/host/author Alton Brown; celebrated chefs Daniel Boulud, Bobby Flay, Jose Garces, Masaharu Morimoto, Rene Redzepi, Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Michael White; film director Wes Craven; author/director/writer/producer Guillermo del Toro; singer-songwriter Natalie Merchant; and author Lemony Snicket with illustrator Maira Kalman.
