Niamh Cusack, Henry Goodman, Stephen Rea, Andrew Scott Perform in James Joyce’s Ulysses, Available from BBC

A new 9-part dramatization of James Joyce’s Ulysses has been made available by the BBC Radio for American audiences.

Adapted by Robin Brooks and directed by Jeremy Mortimer and Jonquil Panting, the cast of the radio play is led by Henry Goodman and Andrew Scott as Leopold Bloom and Stephen Dedalus, two men who wander across Dublin over the course of June 16, 1904. They are joined by Niamh Cusack as Molly Bloom, and Stephen Rea as the Narrator, as well as Jim Norton, Lorcan Cranitch, Des McAleer, Frances Barber, Pip Donaghy, Denise Gough and others. The music includes new recordings of songs by Irish soprano Daire Halpin.
