The New York Musical Theatre Festival has announced the concerts, educational workshops, and a screening series that will complete the programming for its 10th annual festival, which will begin July 8 and continue through July 28.

NYMF is the largest musical theatre event in America and provides an affordable platform for artists to mount professional productions that reach their peers, industry leaders, and musical theater fans. Festival shows have gone on to productions on and off-Broadway and alumni have received a wide array of awards including the Tony and the Pulitzer Prize. In 2013, NYMF received a special Drama Desk Award in recognition of its work.

Some of this year’s workshops and concerts will include a songwriting workshop in association with ASCAP, led by Anna K. Jacobs; a concert celebration of female composers; and an evening of new, irreverent tunes by up-and-coming composers Josh Freilich and Nikko Benson. In addition, the Paley Center will present a “Musicals on Television” screening series in partnership with NYMF.
