New York Innovative Theatre Foundation Announces 2013 IT Award Nominees

The list of nominees include representatives from 60 different off-off-Broadway theater companies.

On Monday, July 22, the New York Innovative Theatre Foundation held its annual IT Award nomination party, celebrating the work of the off-off-Broadway artists from the past season. The free event was held at XL Night Club at 512 West 42nd Street, and was open to the entire community to “hang out with the some of the most incredible artists in the city.”

The 2013 Award nominations were announced by co-executive directors Shay Gines and Nick Micozzi, as well as several members of the community including Matt Freeman, Donnetta Lavinia Grays, Frank Kuzler, Molly Marinik, Jenna Rafferty and David Stern.

Selected from a list of approximately 2,000 off-off-Broadway productions, the nominees include 134 individual artists, 60 different productions, and 60 off-off-Broadway theater companies.

Comedian Harrison Greenbaum will host the September 30 awards ceremony, location yet to be announced.
