The Alexander Doll Company will release two new Madame Alexander dolls representing Elphaba and Glinda, the lead characters of the musical Wicked, adorned in dresses based on the 2004 Tony Award-winning costume designs by Susan Hilferty. The dolls, which will be released this summer, will be sold at FAO Schwartz and other specialty stores. They will retail for $124.95

The Elphaba doll has emerald skin, green eyes, and jet black hair pulled into a low ponytail. She is outfitted in a traditional witch’s hat and corseted shirt with stitched details and shredded sleeves constructed out of beautiful layered burgundy and black lace. It dips down on an A-line skirt that features rows of gathered fabric made from a magical mélange of black and iridescent burgundy, blue and green organza, silvery white and black lace, and black satin. Beneath, she has black panty tights and black ankle boots.

The Glinda doll wears a two-piece, sparkly blue lamé and tulle dress with a stand-up collar. The corset features a square neckline with blue and silver sequins, and her skirt is made from layers of petals that also shine with sequins and lamé. Glisenette panty tights, a sparkling tiara, wand, and matching shoes complete her ensemble.
