The New Victory Theater’s production of Elephant will now begin on Saturday, April 24 and run through May 2.

A co-production between Dodgy Clutch of the UK and Johannesburg’s Market Theatre, the production was originally scheduled to begin on Friday, April 23, but due to the volcanic ash cloud and ban on European air travel, the company has been delayed in arriving in New York.

In a statement released yesterday, New Victory had canceled the entire weekend’s worth of performances, but has now amended that schedule after learning that the 12-member cast and crew for the show is able to fly in this Friday.

Total cancellations include two public performances and two school performances. One public performance, on April 29 at 7 pm, has been added to the schedule.
