New Opening Dates Set for August, Farnsworth, Homecoming, Little Mermaid, Seafarer, Is He Dead?

New opening dates have been set for all of the shows whose openings were postponed by the just-settled Broadway strike.

Aaron Sorkin’s The Farnsworth Invention will now open on Monday, December 3; Tracy Letts’ August: Osage County will open on Tuesday, December 4; Conor McPherson’s The Seafarer will open on Thursday, December 6; and Is He Dead?, David Ives’ adaptation of a Mark Twain play, will open on Sunday, December 9. Disney’s The Little Mermaid, which was set to open on December 6, will now open on January 10.

In addition, the revival of Harold Pinter’s The Homecoming will now begin previews on Tuesday, December 4 and open three days later than scheduled, on Sunday, December 16.
